The “Fool’s Gold” actress says she has remained on good terms with her ex-husband Chris Robinson - with whom she has a four-year-old son, Ryder - and claims only people’s injured pride is what usually stops them from getting along with their old flames.

She said: “It’s such a shame when people let their egos get in the way of what’s the most important thing. I feel like a lot of time someone’s pride is affected when a relationship ends.”

The 29-year-old actress added that Ryder has always been her and Chris’ main priority, which was one of the reasons they decided to call an end to their five-year-marriage in 2006.

She added to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: “We did it the right way, which is we knew it wasn’t right to stay together so we wanted it to be great for Ryder and we got a happy, happy boy.”

“We spend a lot of time together. We love our baby. With both of us working all the time and away and traveling it makes it great for Ryder.”

The pop beauty admits she was devastated when she discovered England soccer star Ashley Cole had slept with another woman following a drunken night out.

She immediately took off her wedding ring - set with a heart-shaped rock and worth $280,000 - and was so angry she only considered putting it back on for one reason.

Cheryl, 25, said: “I was tempted to put it back on - into his head.”

The “Biology” singer was given a new wedding ring by Ashley, which she showed off for the first time this week, indicating she has finally forgiven Ashley, 27, for his liaison with hairdresser Aimee Walton, 22, in January this year.

Cheryl, who is also a judge on British TV talent show “The X Factor” said the incident showed she and Ashley are only human.

She added to British TV talk show host Jonathan Ross: “There’s something about celebrities having a perfect life.”

“People need to relax and realize we’re human, too.”

“There’s no such thing as a private life in this industry. I spoke openly about my marriage in the past and it’s come back to hit me in the face.”

“I learned from the past that you shouldn’t do that.”

Meanwhile, Cheryl made her catwalk debut last night (September 17, 2008) at London’s Natural History Museum, to raise money for the White Ribbon Alliance, a charity dedicated to saving the lives of pregnant women and newborn babies.

She said: “This time the designers and editors have stepped it up. I feel positive. That means I can go soon.”

“My gut instinct is to get women of color out there whether I’m still in fashion or not.”

“I’ll be very happy when I’m 55 years old to pick up a magazine and see a lovely spread with a black woman.”

“Then I’ll know I didn’t work for all these years only to see it go backwards.”

Despite what she perceives to be a changing attitude, the 38-year-old supermodel hopes it is more than a passing trend.

She added: “The recent issue of Italian Vogue magazine where they only used black models shouldn’t make it briefly fashionable to be black and then unfashionable again.”

She graced the covers of all the major fashion magazines, and also has her own lingerie line.

American model Cindy Crawford, 42, and 58-year-old British star Twiggy – who shot to fame in the ’60s and was one of the original supermodels - came second and third in the poll respectively.

A Debenhams’ spokeswoman said: “Women prefer curvier figures. They go for girls like Elle and Cindy.”

“Most of the original supermodels feature in the top 10 which illustrates just how iconic their figures are.”

Other British stars who feature include Kate Moss, at number seven, and Liz Hurley, who came in at ninth place.

The “Burn After Reading” actor - who previously revealed he would not marry partner Angelina Jolie until everyone in America is “legally able” to marry whoever they want - gave the money to help fight Californian ballot Proposition 8, which aims to take away the homosexual community’s right to wed.

In a statement, Brad said: “Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn’t harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8.”

Brad’s donation is the largest given to the anti-Proposition 8 campaign by an A-list celebrity so far.

Political strategist Chad Griffin added: “It is our hope that others in the entertainment industry will step up and match Brad Pitt’s heroic commitment to quality and defeating Proposition 8.”

The 44-year-old actor’s decision to donate the money comes just a week after Brad and Angelina - who has previously enjoyed lesbian relationships - were ranked in sixth position on Parade magazine’s list of the most generous celebrities in the world, after giving away $8.4 million of their own money to charitable causes in 2007.

“I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water but more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and hopefully it’ll go to good use.”

The actress was then met by Marc, who escorted her to the VIP area where she met up with her “Wedding Planner” co-star Matthew McConaughey – who also competed in the event.

The Nautica Malibu Triathlon raised a total of $950,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

“The Women” actress suffered from arachnophobia – a profound fear of spiders – as a child and was so terrified of the eight-legged nasties she would ask her family to execute them if one came near her.

She would then insist on being shown the “dead carcass” of the arachnid to prove her wishes has been carried out.

Eva said: “Spiders scare me a lot, ever since I was a little girl. If I ever saw one I would have a physical reaction and just freak out.”

“I was a real arachnophobe. I was like that up until about a year ago.”

“If I saw a spider I would have to have somebody kill it and even then I could not take their word for it. I would have to see the dead carcass before I could relax.”

The 34-year-old actress – who admits her fear became so bad she would not even sleep in a room if she had seen a spider there - decided to visit a hypnotherapist to overcome the phobia.

She said: “There was no swaying clock or anything like that - so I was disappointed by that.”

“I do not know what she did but it really helped because now I will see one and I will be cool with it.”

Eva added she was so pleased with the outcome of the treatment she is contemplating re-visiting her hypnotist.

She joked: “Now I want to do it for everything. I was thinking can she help me with road rage or snacking or foul language? It is amazing.”

Speaking at the UK premiere of “Righteous Kill” in London’s Leicester Square yesterday (September 14, 2008), told BANG Showbiz: “Working with Bob was a real comfort factor. He understands the way it works.”

“We’ve known each other and been close for years so it’s great for us to finally do something like this.”

“We’re looking at trying to do something together which we can develop from the start, something we can both oversee and be involved in.”

“So hopefully we can get together again. That’s a good thing to aspire to.”

De Niro – who previously starred in 1995’s “Heat” with Pacino – admitted he wished the legendary pair had worked together sooner.

The 65-year-old actor said: “I think we’re both very comfortable with each other.”

“I wish we hadn’t waited. We were talking about projects before ‘Heat,’ but it’s not as easy as you would think to get a project going.”

“Sometimes I wish I had been more proactive in getting something going, it just didn’t happen.”

When asked how he could top a film starring both De Niro and Pacino, director Jon Avnet said: “I don’t know, maybe with Jack Nicholson.”

The star-studded premiere was also attended by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and super-producer Mark Ronson.
